About Hanna Jaff:

Dr. Hanna Jaff Bosdet was born on November 4, 1986. She is from Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico.

She has a Master of Arts in International Relations from Harvard University, a BA in Psychology, diplomas and studies in Political Science and Criminology  from the National University in San Diego. Diplomas in Leadership from Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Monterrey. In October 2014 she obtained an honorary doctorate by the Analytical Constructivist University of Mexico.

She was a candidate for federal deputy for the principle of proportional representation to the LXIII Legislature of 2015-2018. Also served as National Secretary General of the Youth Revolutionary of Unit Revolutionary of the Institutional Revolutionary Party. Previously she was National Secretary of Social Management of Youth Network for Mexico of the Institutional Revolutionary Party and Undersecretary of Immigrants of the Institutional Revolutionary Party. She is currently part of the Harvard Ex Alumni Club in Mexico as an active member of the Alumni Council.

She is a woman committed to philanthropy, and has participated for social causes her whole life. She was the president of the Las Damas of San Diego Foundation and a volunteer at the Castro-Limon Foundation in the field of psychology. She also participated in the Hospital Santa Engracia in Monterrey, where she gave therapies for people with cancer. These experiences led her to create her own foundation.

She participates in a foundation which has carried out two hundred four activities: Donation of 20 pantries for those affected by Ingrid and Manuel in Mexico City; Jaff Foundation 7km race “Taste is Morelos” in Cuernavaca, Morelos, MX; inauguration of the Jaff Foundation for Education; donation of 50 toys for children in Mexico City; event on International Day of Non Violence Against Women, in which 200 people attended, in Cuernavaca, Morelos, MX; Hanna Jaff is a cultural activist, but also its work and the foundation in which participates reach international proportions. Since October 2013, fourteen projects have been fulfilled: the Festival Kurdish in Mexico with 80,000 visitors in Cuernavaca, with the participation of 150 Kurds and the support of the board of Taste Morelos is the State Government and the restaurant industry thereof, in October 2013; tour to the Middle East: Egypt, Turkey, Israel, Kurdistan and the UAE, through conferences promoting Mexican culture, in January 2014; kurds reception in Mexico arranging meetings with government officials, diplomats and political figures of national importance delegates, after which the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two nations in February 2014; visit to the Syrian refugee camps to help their voice be heard in April 2014; supporting Kurds in United Kingdom, and endorse Kurdistan Independence from Iraq; mexican campaign to support victims of “ISIS” in the Middle East; Ms. Kurdistan involvement in Miss Beauty Pageant Miss United Continent for September 2014; filming “Together as one” for world peace, in San Diego, California; the delivery of 22.000 English Manual to kurds for schools in Kurdistan; the donation of school notebooks for 100 orphans in Lima, Peru; the presentation aboutJaff Tribe in the University of Arkansas Research Expo in Little Rock, USA, in which 59 researchers participated; the participation in the 46th St. Gallen Symposium as one of the 200 world leaders less than 30 years, in Switzerland; the donation of self taught English books, toys, and school supplies for 200 kids in Duhok, Kurdistan; the donation of English books for 500 ISIS victims in Mosul, Iraq; the donation of English books for Kannada/Hindi speakers for 150 children to the Ved Vignan Maha Vidya Peeth School in Udaypura, Bangalore, India; and the donation for 170 school books to Shree Mandadayanand Anathalay Orphanage in Agra, India.

The National Chamber of Women, A.C. awarded her “Woman of the year” and the newspaper Sun of Mexico as “Person of the Year” in 2014. In 2016, the World University Committee gave her a medal for ‘Academic Excellence’.

Hanna is the author of four books, three of them are for learning English: for Spanish, Kurdish, and Purepecha (indigenous language) speakers, which 22,000 copies have been donated. She also wrote a book of quotes of her own authorship.
